The quote template is the highest-leverage document in freelancing. Every minute you spend building a clean, complete template saves 15 minutes on every quote you send for the rest of your career, and every well-structured quote you send is one fewer negotiation you have to have. These three templates cover every project size. Copy them, customize them, use them.
Three versions are provided below: a simple one-page quote for projects under $5K, a standard two-page quote for projects between $5K and $25K, and a phased quote structure for complex or enterprise engagements. After each template, the delivery email to send with it.

Subject: Project Quote QT-[XXX], [Project Name], [Total]
Hi [Name],
Attached is the phased quote for [project name]: $[total] across [X] phases, valid through [date].
I’ve structured this in phases so each stage can be confirmed before the next begins, it protects both of us if scope needs to be adjusted based on what we find in discovery.

Happy to walk through this on a call if useful.

The most important line in any quote template is the acceptance instruction, and it should be impossible to miss. If the client has to hunt for how to say yes, some of them won’t. Put it at the bottom of every template in bold, on its own line, after everything else. One action. One sentence. “Reply with ‘confirmed’” or “Sign below.” Remove every other option.
