If a client asks for a change and you discuss, document, and agree to a new timeline or cost, that’s a change order, not creep. The moment you document and align, it stops being creep and becomes legitimate modification.

The danger is that creep sets expectations. After absorbing 10 hours of undocumented work, the client expects that generosity later. When you finally set a boundary on project two, they feel you’re less helpful.
